Patrick Connor has been performing in the circus arts for over ten years for production companies such as “Food Play” and “The National Circus Project.” After touring all of the world for three years and entertaining thousands of families in places such as Europe, Canada, and The USA, he finds himself now in southern California working in TV commercials and performing as a variety artist every weekend. His charismatic personality and overall excitement for life is very evident when he is performing and running workshops. Patrick is delighted to be a part of Jester Games and is looking forward to teaching your students diabolo in the near future!
Alex Corby originally grew up in Long Island New York and attended Vassar College for Theater and Physics. After joining the Vassar College Barefoot Monkeys, Alex moved to the West Coast seeking a career in performance art such as juggling, fire spinning, clowning and of course, Diabolo. In the years since he picked up his first diabolo, Alex has performed and played around for people in Australia, Canada, Europe, and India and has no intention of stopping.
Captivated by the circus as a child, Dave Kaplan tried to learn as much as he could. After learning to juggle everything and unicycle he often attended meetings of the Carmine St. Irregulars Juggling Club and the New York Unicycle Club where he was able to refine his skills. As a student of the New York Goofs, Dave studied under Barry Lubin and Dick Monday from The Big Apple Circus, Hovey Burgess, world champion juggler and theatre instructor at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, and Larry Pisoni, founder of the Pickle Family Circus and the San Francisco School of Circus Arts.
Taking his grandfather’s advice, “Let your hobby be your life’s work,” David has become both happy and successful. Traveling around for Jester Games teaching the diabolo allows Dave to have the most fun job he can imagine. Passing on a skill that has brought him so much joy through the years really is something special.
